Our story

From landlord resource to rental compliance platform

TLA began as part of Landlord Expert in 2006 and has grown into a full platform for landlords, agents and tenants.

2006

Landlord Expert launches

An online resource and community for UK landlords looking for practical information and shared experience.

2018

The Landlord Association operates in its own right

TLA becomes a standalone membership organisation focused on landlord compliance and support.

2025

Commercial operations formalised

TLA Commercial Partnerships Ltd is incorporated to manage partnerships, sponsorship and advertising separately from membership.

2026

A connected compliance platform

TLA launches the AI Document Studio, the ORBIT workspace and the Renters’ Rights Act 2025 Compliance Pack, and begins onboarding its Trusted Partner Network.
